warning1. Assumption of Risk & Climbing Safety Disclaimer

Climbing, mountaineering, and bouldering are inherently dangerous activities that carry significant risks of severe physical injury, paralysis, or death.

All grades, reach assessments, "short-friendliness" ratings, beta notes, intermediate holds, and GPS coordinates published on this site are subjective personal opinions provided by community members for informational and discussion purposes only. They do not constitute professional safety advice, official route topo documentation, or guarantees of difficulty or safety.

You are solely responsible for your own safety, route inspection, choice of protection, spotters, crash pads, and personal judgment. You agree to hold this website, its creators, and contributors harmless from any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the use of content found here.

2. User-Generated Content & Contributor License

When you submit content to our platform—including climb reviews, beta suggestions, star ratings, climber heights, morphological notes, and coordinates—you retain your underlying moral authorship.

However, by submitting content anywhere on this website, you grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and fully sublicensable license to host, store, cache, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, reformat, translate, create derivative works from, publish, publicly display, distribute, syndicate, compile, and commercialize such content in any medium, platform, application, publication, or technology now known or later developed, without compensation or attribution obligation to you.

You represent and warrant that any content you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or legal rights of any third party. We reserve the right to edit, moderate, reformat, or remove any submission at our sole discretion.

3. Proprietary Database Rights & Prohibition of Scraping

The compilation, structure, arrangement, ratings synthesis, and curated dataset of our outdoor directory constitutes a proprietary database protected by copyright, database rights, and intellectual property laws (including the EU Database Directive 96/9/EC and the UK Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997).

You expressly agree not to:

  • Crawl, scrape, extract, harvest, harvest via API, or index any portion of our database, review text, reach metrics, or directory listings through automated means (including bots, spiders, scripts, or scrapers) without our prior express written permission.
  • Use, aggregate, or republish the content or data on any competing directory, guide, topo, or commercial climbing application.
  • Ingest or extract any content from this site for the purpose of training machine learning models or artificial intelligence datasets without an explicit written licensing agreement.
  • Circumvent any robot exclusion headers, rate limiters, security parameters, or authentication barriers protecting the database.

4. Accounts & Acceptable Use

To contribute to the directory, you may be required to register with an authentic email address and password. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree not to:

  • Provide false, inaccurate, or disposable email addresses to bypass contributor verification.
  • Submit false, defamatory, offensive, or malicious route information or beta.
  • Submit private property locations without lawful access or trespass warnings.
  • Attempt to brute-force or compromise user accounts or Supabase database endpoints.

5. External Links (UKClimbing / OpenStreetMap)

Our website links to third-party services such as UKClimbing.com (UKC) and OpenStreetMap. We do not operate, control, or endorse these third-party platforms and assume no responsibility for their content, uptime, or privacy practices.

6. Governing Law & Contact
